About EMIL

EMIL is a singer-songwriter from Adelaide South Australia who draws inspiration from multiple genres, mainly pop, soul, and R'n'B. A few artists that have influenced his sound are Guy Sebastian, Stan Walker, Michael Buble, Ed Sheeran & Luther Vandross.

EMIL started singing at the age of four inspired by Guy Sebastian's participation in the first ever Australian Idol. From there he grew his passion for music throughout his schooling years until he would join a reggae band (Reggae On) after graduating high school in 2015. He worked as the lead vocalist for Reggae On up until the autumn of 2019 when we would branch off to begin his own journey as a solo acoustic artist, taking time to discover his own sound as a singer-songwriter.

An acoustic album of some of EMIL's early song's was released in 2018 marking his entrance into the original music market. In his songs you can hear that EMIL takes from multiple genres in both his cover and original work and is now further exploring his sound as he is back into the studio. EMIL is currently recording one of his new pieces for a 2020 single release, and also recording covers to be played overseas in the Philippines in an effort to aid in the COVID-19 pandemic.

EMIL is no stranger to the live music scene as he is consistently playing venues around his hometown of Adelaide South Australia each and every week of the year. Some of his career highlights have been the 2018 OTR Search for a Christmas Star competition which lead to his 2018 and 2019 Elder Park carols by candlelight performances, his various festival gigs around Adelaide, as well as recently being aired on Filipino television. Stay tuned to EMIL's social media to keep up with the latest news and catch his mid-year single release.
